About Goa

Goa is a great beautiful, holy land and holiday destination in all aged. Goa blessed in this land has been ruled by the Portugal Colonial rule 451 years. Goa which was liberated on 19th Dec 1961 along with Daman and Diu. Goa now is the 25th state of Indian Union when it was conferred statehood on 30th May 1987.

Goa, Golden Jubilee of 50th year of celebration was held on 19th Dec 2010. Golden Jubilee year of its liberation with a promise to better track of performance.

Speaking languages of Goa are Konkani, Marathi, Hindi, English and other Indian Languages.

The state of Goa has been divided into two districts namely: North Goa and South Goa for administrative purpose. North Goa Headquarters at Panaji and South Goa Headquarters at Margoa respectively. Goa has 11 talukas , 4 cities i.e. Panaji, Margao, Vasco-da-gama and Ponda.
